U.S. raises threat level at key financial sites

You know, our president has proven himself to be such a condescending liar that I can’t even entertain the possibility that this new terror alert is true. Days after the Democratic Convention, ramping up to the GOP ball, we suddenly have exactly what pundits have been demanding – specific threats – and, better, an atmosphere of fear, just begging for Bush's paternal war machine. Right. I wonder how much this latest ruse is costing. Wouldn’t it be nice if Bush used smart policy or even just genuine honesty to further his agendas instead of those Bush-Cheney hallmarks of fear and deceit?
