It's A Sin Not To Do It

Sexy_vatican

It may have long been a sin for teenage boys, but the Vatican now gives married women the "thumbs up" for masturbation (going so far as to provide theological justification). In fact, the same election week that Catholic leadership worried itself about the implications of same-sex marriage and, well, sex, they released a sex guide calling for more "love making" in their valued hetero-congregants.

Talk about a membership marketing campaign - the guide was published in part to create more Catholics. Declining birth-rates are apparently become a significant papal concern, particularly in Italy where birth rates fall well below the replacement rate.

It's A Sin Not To Do It is the first major Catholic sex publication since the 40-year-old courting guide that prohibited French kissing. We'll see if this one gets a wider, say, adoption ...

Update 11/21/04: I've responded to each of my posters via email, but since many seem to be seeking this sexual guidance (or at very least the free and open opportunity to poke a little sociological fun at it), I should tell you where to pick up the tome.  The Church is distributing the pub directly - so, you need to call your local priest or keep an eye on eBay for loose copies.  Keep in mind that the Church's first audience is Italy (where the birth rate has fallen precipitously below the replacement rate - the rough equivalent of bankrupting  the Catholics 401k) - so,  there are likely fewer U.S. copies in circulation.
